Spring is sprung!

It has been really warm the last few days, quite exceptional for March, or at least it feels that way. We have been busy continuing our work in the garden, trimming back the bushes and trees that have neglected for some years, how efficient bonfires are to dispose of all the cuttings, it’s good to have the space to store and then burn when the weather is right.

The kitchen garden is coming along, nearly all dug over and weeded now and the cabbages and cauliflowers planted in the autumn are doing great. We have been planting seeds for the summer crops, some of which are in pots in the cold frame awaiting to be big enough to get planted out; while there is still a risk of frosts better not to rush things.

Will try and get some photos done later this week and put up on Flickr.
