Am I alone in always having trouble with rolls of cling-wrap? Once the box is opened and I pull off the requisite length for the job in hand my problems start when trying to detach the unrolled piece using the metal serrated ‘cutter’ on the edge of the box. I very rarely achieve a clean-cut and even if I do manage this, the remaining strip becomes reattached around the roll in such a way that it takes an age of scratching and pulling and many centimeters of wastage to get back to a straight edge. Is there a technique that I am missing?
