Christmas cake (in January?)

We have never made our own Xmas cake, always relying on finding something good in the shops but this year we were sadly disappointed with our purchase. Having googled around for a recipe for this year, Xmas is only 11.5 months away, I found this one on another WordPress blog. The list of ingredients and the photos remind me of the kind of cake from my childhood. Have bookmarked this for November to try out!
